JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Basics  Be the Assistant of the Cruise Activities Manager with regards of the Cruise Staff activities

 Assist the Cruise Activities Manger in all duties related to the Cruise Staff Team

 Act on behalf of the Cruise Activities Manger in case of need
Experience Required Proven experience and expertise as Cruise Staff Manager (male or female) in a similar working environment at sea or ashore
Responsibilities
    - Perform as entertainment presenter and broadcaster where and if required.
    - Report any irregularities within or concerning the Cruise Staff Team to the Cruise Activities Manager.
    - Assist the Cruise Activities Manager in supervising the involvement of the Cruise Staff in the embarkation and disembarkation of Passengers, participating in this activity in the most productive way.
    - Assist the Cruise Activities Manager in planning and supervising all Cruise Staff activities and games in lounges, on deck, and in ports where appropriate, ashore (e.g., beach landings).
    - Activities include but are not limited to:
    - Games by or in swimming pools.
    - Tournament and sport activities (using prescribed standard procedures where these exist).
    - Games and activities in lounges.
    - Cultural activities.
    - Mimes, plays, concerts, and other performances as directed by the Cruise Activities Manager.
    - Table games and close-up activities.
    - Quizzes, talent shows, and Passenger-involvement activities.
    - Workshops of graphic or body expression, dance classes, arts and crafts, language lessons, etc.
    - Assist the Cruise Activities Manager in preparing all material required for scheduled activities and ensure the return of all said material to specified storage areas after any performance or activity.
    - Ensure all Cruise Staff are at the point of performance at least 15 minutes ahead of any performance or activity, ensuring all required material is in place for the commencement of that activity.
    - Socialize with Passengers at all times, giving special attention to very young, very old, disadvantaged persons, Passengers traveling alone, or Passengers of minority languages where involvement may be difficult.
    - Dance with Passengers.
    - Listen to requests and comments of Passengers, taking positive action to remedy any problems by reporting any issues advised by Passengers to the Cruise Activities Manager.
    - Stimulate and help to create a social atmosphere among the Passengers.
    - Participate in all meetings of the Entertainment Department and Cruise Staff Team as required by the Cruise Activities Manager.
    - Help the Cruise Staff with languages or translation when necessary.
    - Provide general assistance as required by the Cruise Activities Manager at all performances. Duties include (but are not limited to):
    - Monitoring door access.
    - Assistance with curtains.
    - Assistance for performers.
    - Taking part in performances.
    - Guiding Passengers.
    - Assist the Cruise Activities Manager in preparing the inventory of material designated as gifts and souvenirs for Passengers, ensuring budgeted quantities of gifts are not exceeded, and keeping records of all prizes issued to Passengers.
    - Assist the Cruise Activities Manager in ensuring that the Cruise Staff Team wears the correct uniform, clean and undamaged.
    - Give attention to very old, very young, disabled, or minority Passengers.
    - Assist the Cruise Activities Manager in supervising attendance at gangways and lounges during Guest embarkation, and assembly of Passengers in ports where a service of transfer boats is used.
    - Assist the Cruise Activities Manager in ensuring that all members of the Cruise Staff team follow Company policies.
    - Be present, highly visible, in uniform, wearing a name badge, and socialize with guests in Passenger areas as frequently as possible.
